About The Position

The Field Installation Project Manager is the primary customer contact during pre-installation and physical installation of digital mammography imaging products. The role coordinates site planning, equipment delivery, and installation scheduling to provide a smooth, well-communicated experience for customers and internal stakeholders. The position works with customers, Account Executives, Field Engineers (FEs), service personnel, and other resources to prepare sites and oversee installations.

Requirements

College degree in a technical discipline required.
At least 5 years of experience in medical capital equipment site planning and installation coordination.
Ability to establish, schedule, track, and communicate activities related to digital mammography product installation, including pre-installation planning and equipment layout, site readiness, equipment delivery, and coordination of Field Engineer, Connectivity, and Applications activities.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory to meet customers, contractors, and Hologic service personnel; minimum travel expectation is 30%.
Understanding of architecture as applied to site planning in a capital equipment installation environment.
Basic knowledge of standard drafting methods and practices.
Fundamental knowledge of electrical requirements and networking terminology.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including handling critical customer issues sensitively and effectively.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize and execute complex scheduling tasks in a multitasking, interrupt-driven environment.
Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings, including general construction, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and communications/networking drawings.
Ability to schedule, track, and communicate multiple concurrent activities across multiple customer facilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal teams.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Technical aptitude and fundamental knowledge of mammography, particularly digital mammography, desired.

Responsibilities

Serve as the customer's sole point of contact during pre-installation and installation, working with Account Executives and FEs.
Arrange and participate in customer calls and meetings to support a seamless installation.
Review site-planning information with customers and ensure required information is complete, accurate, and approved.
Work with FEs to obtain accurate site information and prepare for installation.
Notify Sales and the Service Manager when site plans are complete; coordinate customer and FE walk-throughs, including onsite visits when possible.
Confirm customer applications for all product lines and maintain the applications scheduling system.
Analyze scheduling options and present alternatives that balance customer needs and company interests.
Coordinate with IT/Connectivity resources and arrange customer meetings or calls to address IT requirements before equipment delivery.
Validate requested shipping and delivery dates with installation team members.
Validate site readiness and promptly communicate schedule changes to limit impact on manufacturing and revenue recognition; notify Account Executives and Sales Admin about outstanding items.
Provide weekly reports and schedules, including dates, status changes, and demographic information.
Oversee installations, engage appropriate resources when problems or delays arise, and notify relevant parties.
Provide customers with multiple sources of information to support successful installations.
Review existing Hologic equipment configurations before new equipment delivery to confirm hardware, software, and connectivity compatibility; procedure steps are performed by territory CS.
