About The Position

The Field GTM Manager, Events and Community's primary goal is to generate 10-15 qualified demos per month by identifying and engaging with top e-commerce events and communities. This role involves attending or hosting 3-4 focused events monthly across North America, targeting e-commerce founders, operators, Heads of CX, and agency leaders. The individual will be responsible for selecting event venues, building guest lists, hosting experiences, and converting conversations into sales pipeline. This is a remote position based in North America with frequent travel required across the US and Canada. The role reports to the Head of Partnerships and will collaborate closely with Richpanel's CEO and sales team. Richpanel is a profitable, Sequoia-backed company experiencing significant year-over-year growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in field GTM, events, community, business development, hospitality, brand marketing or a related customer-facing role.
  • Experience from an arts, humanities, communications, hospitality, theatre, design or event-production background.
  • Proven ability to create memorable experiences.
  • Natural hosting abilities, including making introductions and fostering engagement.
  • Commercial acumen with experience owning a pipeline, meetings, or revenue target.
  • Demonstrated success in events that produced qualified sales conversations.
  • Ability to write warm, personal invitations that attract busy founders.
  • Comfort speaking with founders, Heads of CX, and agency owners.
  • Organizational skills to manage travel, vendors, guest lists, budgets, and follow-up.
  • Comfortable traveling several times each month.
  • Proactive approach to changing plans if an event is not producing meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at an e-commerce brand, agency, BPO, Shopify app, or customer-experience company.
  • Existing relationships with e-commerce founders, operators, agency leaders, or community hosts.
  • Experience running private dinners, executive roundtables, retreats, or small conferences.
  • Experience selling or generating pipeline for B2B SaaS.
  • Experience moderating a panel, hosting a podcast, performing on stage, or building a community.
  • Ability to demonstrate the exact path from an event to a held demo and closed deal.

Responsibilities

  • Attend or host 3-4 focused events each month.
  • Generate 10-15 qualified demos each month from the field.
  • Build the annual calendar of dinners, roundtables, retreats and community events.
  • Review attendee lists before events to identify target accounts.
  • Pre-book conversations with high-value prospects before each event.
  • Work with agencies, BPOs, technology partners and operator communities on joint events.
  • Own the guest experience from invitation through follow-up.
  • Host dinners, moderate discussions and make thoughtful introductions.
  • Follow up quickly to turn interest into held demos with the right stakeholders.
  • Keep event-sourced pipeline accurate in the CRM.
  • Measure cost per qualified demo, pipeline and closed ARR by event.
  • Build a repeatable playbook to identify successful and unsuccessful events.
