Community Events Manager

I-95 Toyota and Scion of Brunswick•Brunswick, GA
•Onsite

About The Position

I-95 Toyota is seeking a hands-on Community Events Manager to make the dealership a destination for the Golden Isles community. The role owns a year-round calendar of community events, with activities planned nearly every Saturday, and manages their planning, promotion, and execution from start to finish. Events may include family festivals, holiday celebrations, charitable events, entertainment, competitions, and other community activities. The manager leads event operations, social media and grassroots promotion, community partnerships, and collaboration with marketing. The role also tracks event outcomes and uses attendance, spending, participation, engagement, partner involvement, and feedback to improve future events. Success is measured by community impact and relationships rather than vehicle sales during events. This is an active, on-site role involving physical event setup and support, Saturday work, and occasional evenings.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing events, ideally community-facing or family-oriented events.
  • Hands-on experience managing business social media, creating content, and using organic promotion to build engagement.
  • Experience with grassroots marketing, local outreach, partnerships, or community-based promotional campaigns.
  • Strong organizational, budgeting, vendor-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort capturing photos and videos and using Canva or similar content-creation tools.
  • Confidence building relationships, working independently, and managing several projects at once.
  • Availability to work Saturdays and occasional evenings.
  • Ability to perform physical event setup and support in an active, on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a year-round calendar of family festivals, holiday celebrations, charitable events, entertainment, competitions, and other community activities.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, vendor contracts, supplies, staffing, site layouts, setup, breakdown, and day-of execution.
  • Create and implement social media promotional calendars; write posts and produce photo and short-form video content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and relevant channels.
  • Promote events through schools, churches, neighborhood groups, local businesses, nonprofits, community calendars, and other local channels.
  • Recruit and coordinate sponsors, vendors, food trucks, entertainers, volunteers, and local organizations, and develop cross-promotions.
  • Coordinate event messaging, creative assets, community outreach, and post-event content with the marketing team, emphasizing organic reach and authentic engagement.
  • Track attendance, event spending, community participation, social engagement, partner involvement, and feedback, and use results to improve future events.
