About The Position
As a Field Estimator at Southeast Restoration, you will help guide property owners through restoration after disasters by assessing damage, preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with insurance adjusters, and supporting customers during a stressful time. The role involves inspecting properties, documenting damage, creating scopes of work and estimates with Xactimate, explaining restoration processes and costs, building relationships with adjusters, and handing awarded projects over to the production team.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of estimating experience in restoration, construction, or the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Xactimate.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct property inspections to assess damage and determine restoration needs.
- Document damage to structural, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems.
- Scope losses and create detailed estimates using Xactimate.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters on project scope, approvals, and claim processing.
- Prepare customer proposals and communicate restoration processes, timelines, and costs to customers and adjusters.
- Meet with property owners, explain the restoration process, set expectations, and provide support and guidance.
- Build relationships with existing adjusters and develop new business opportunities with additional adjusters.
- Transition awarded projects to the production team and communicate project details for execution.
