The Field Data Specialist independently travels to commercial properties such as shopping centers, warehouses, and office parks to capture and document accurate property data. The work includes gathering measurements and using 3D cameras, laser measurement tools, technology devices, and specialized software to record building measurements, sprinkler and HVAC locations, windows, signage, landscaping, utility meters, dumpsters, parking details, and other interior and exterior features. Most of the work involves collecting and entering data while ensuring accuracy. The role requires coordinating with property managers about access and appointment arrival times, and communicating remotely with a Regional Manager, trainers, mentors, and peers as needed. Communication is generally brief and professional, but should be clear and proactive. The position offers considerable independence and autonomy over daily scheduling. It involves travel out of state Monday through Friday, with the employee home most weekends; travel is mostly regional but not exclusively. Major travel expenses, including lodging, fuel, meals, and mileage, are covered. The employee must use a reliable personal vehicle capable of carrying a six-foot ladder and handling long-distance travel. The company provides equipment and paid training. Employees may also receive company-sponsored drone training and earn an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification, with training, certification costs, and equipment provided. There are opportunities for growth, mentoring others, and movement into other departments after demonstrating success in the field.
