About The Position

The Field Application Engineer enables customers to use Nordic Semiconductor technology in a variety of applications and serves as a key technical resource for internal and external teams. The role works with customers and sales partners to understand applications and use cases, present Nordic’s value proposition, and design Nordic solutions into customer products. It also responds to technical inquiries and develops and owns key technical customer relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
At least 4 years of embedded software development experience.
Understanding of embedded hardware, including digital and analog circuits.
Experience with ARM microcontrollers.
At least 2 years of successfully supporting customer product development.
Experience with wireless protocols or technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and cellular technologies.
Experience with software for interfacing IoT devices with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

Create and present Nordic Semiconductor’s value proposition.
Understand customer applications and use cases.
Work with Regional Sales Managers, distributors, and representatives to design Nordic solutions into customer products.
Respond to technical inquiries and provide timely solutions.
Serve as a technical expert in the Sales team.
Develop and own key technical relationships with customers.
