About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Festival Aide. This is a part-time opportunity where you can use your know-how and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public. As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in the preparation, organization and management of festivals and special events hosted by the Tourism and Festivals Department.

Requirements

Reliable and willing to contribute ideas that support our festivals and special events team
Comfortable working with electricity and hand/power tools
Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required
Exhibit self-motivation by always looking for ways to improve their knowledge and skills
Show great respect for others and their property
Maintain their assigned equipment with care
Get great satisfaction from contributing to what makes O'Fallon such a great place to live!
Have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation and set up of festival and event grounds for Celebration of Lights
Researching and preparing for festivals and events, including our Celebration of Lights display
Installing, maintaining and/or repairing holiday lights
Painting and installing scenery
Providing security for the light display
Assuring light displays are in working properly, taking corrective action when necessary
Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons
