About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is seeking energetic and dependable team members for the position of Festival Aide. This part-time opportunity involves assisting in the preparation, organization, and management of festivals and special events, particularly the Celebration of Lights. The role offers a flexible schedule, a fun work environment, and competitive pay. As part of the Recreation Department, Festival Aides play an important role in ensuring the success of various events hosted by the Tourism and Festivals Department.

Comfortable working with electricity and hand/power tools
Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation and set up of festival and event grounds for Celebration of Lights
Researching and preparing for festivals and events, including our Celebration of Lights display
Installing, maintaining and/or repairing holiday lights
Painting and installing scenery
Providing security for the light display
Assuring light displays are in working properly, taking corrective action when necessary
Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons
