About The Position

The Fertilizer Equipment Operator assists the Fertilizer Manager with daily operations. The role includes operating equipment to blend fertilizer, mixing and pouring dry and liquid components, maintaining the fertilizer facility, assisting with fertilizer truck loading and unloading, and supporting inventory controls. The operator drives a company vehicle and provides customer service to internal and external customers. Reliable attendance and compliance with company policies and procedures are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of safety equipment operations.
• Understanding of weights and measures for dry and liquid materials.
• Competence in basic math.
• Ability to operate equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle.
• Applicants operating moving vehicles or interacting with heavy equipment must meet the legal age requirement.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a valuable skill.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an articulating loader used to blend dry fertilizer.
• Mix and pour dry and liquid elements for complete fertilizer blends, assisting the Fertilizer Manager.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of the fertilizer facility.
• Assist with loading and unloading fertilizer trucks.
• Assist the Fertilizer Manager with inventory controls.
• Drive a company vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Complete other work-related duties as assigned by the leader.
• Maintain reliable and regular attendance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
