About The Position

The Feed Mill Janitor cleans and supplies designated office areas and maintains good housekeeping in service areas. The role involves working independently, paying attention to detail, communicating with Operations, customers, and vendors, and following Tyson health, safety, and biosecurity procedures. The work may take place in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The employee must be able to work at elevated areas and sustain physical activity throughout the day. Weekend and holiday work and flexible hours may be required based on scheduling demand. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Must list three months of work history with the same employer.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, and twist.
• Must be able to work independently and be attentive to detail.
• Must be able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required by demand scheduling.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders or stairs, and sustain physical activity throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must sign and abide by the company biosecurity guidelines, including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
• Maximum of three previous times worked with Tyson Foods.
• A 90-day waiting period applies for rehire.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated office areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms, and emptying trash and recycling cans.
• Maintain good housekeeping, including in service areas.
• Communicate with all levels of Operations, customers, and vendors orally and in writing when required.
• Follow and operate within all Tyson health and safety protocols.
• Follow company biosecurity guidelines, including signing an agreement to avoid any avian species.
• Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
• Complete other tasks assigned by management.
