Feed Mill Janitor - 2nd Shift- Storm Lake Turkey Feed Mill
About The Position
The Feed Mill Janitor cleans and supplies designated office areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms, and emptying trash and recycling containers. The role maintains good housekeeping in service areas and completes other tasks assigned by management. The position requires working in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, communicate with Operations personnel, customers, and vendors, and follow company health, safety, and biosecurity requirements. The position is on second shift at the Storm Lake Turkey Feed Mill. Holiday and weekend work and flexible hours may be required based on demand scheduling.
Requirements
- Must list at least 3 months of work history with the same employer.
- May have worked for Tyson Foods no more than three times; a 90-day waiting period applies for rehire.
- Able to work independently and attentive to detail.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds and repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, and twist.
- Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
- Able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
- Able to work in elevated areas and follow safety procedures.
- Able to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders or stairs, and sustain physical activity throughout the day.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated office areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms, and emptying trash and recycling containers.
- Maintain good housekeeping, including in service areas.
- Communicate orally and in writing with all levels of Operations, including customers and vendors, where required.
- Follow and operate within Tyson health and safety protocols and safety procedures.
- Sign and abide by company biosecurity guidelines, including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
- Complete other tasks assigned by management.
