About The Position

The Feed Ingredient Receiver Operator is responsible for accurately recording data, operating scales, and documenting incoming ingredients through the ticketing system. This role involves operating equipment to unload feed ingredients and route them to appropriate storage silos. The operator will also obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients, and use hand tools to assist in unloading and perform minor maintenance duties. The job requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The position also necessitates working holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required by demand scheduling, and working in elevated areas while following all safety procedures. Adherence to Company Biosecurity Guidelines, including avoiding avian species, is mandatory. Maintaining good housekeeping, communicating effectively with all levels of operations, customers, and vendors, and following all Tyson Health and Safety protocols are key aspects of the role. The role involves lifting up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance, and requires the ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders/stairs with sustained physical activity throughout the day. Other tasks assigned by management must also be completed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 months' work history or a high school education or equivalent in lieu of work history.
  • Ability to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
  • Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
