About The Position

The Feed Ingredient Receiver Operator is responsible for accurately recording data, operating scales, and documenting incoming ingredients through the ticketing system. This role involves operating equipment to unload feed ingredients and route them to appropriate storage silos. The operator will also obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients, and use hand tools to assist in unloading and perform minor maintenance duties. The position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with significant exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The role also necessitates working holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as scheduled, working in elevated areas while following safety procedures, and adhering to Company Biosecurity Guidelines, including avoiding avian species. Maintaining good housekeeping, communicating effectively with all levels of operations, customers, and vendors, and following all Tyson Health and Safety protocols are also key aspects of this position. The job requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance, and to sustain physical activity throughout the day including standing, sitting, walking, and climbing ladders/stairs. The company may require background checks for certain roles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 months' work history or a high school education or equivalent in lieu of work history.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
  • Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
  • Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
