About The Position

The Feed Mill Worker position at the Waldron Feed Mill is a 1st shift role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the mill. This includes performing various cleaning duties, assisting with ingredient unloading, groundskeeping, and operating equipment. The role requires the ability to work in diverse environmental conditions, adhere to strict health and safety protocols, and perform physically demanding tasks. Communication with various stakeholders and adherence to company guidelines are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Must wear required PPE ear protection.
• Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
• Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
• Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
• Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
• The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed.
• Assist with ingredient unloading activities, such as unloading rail cars/trucks.
• Clean up feed spills.
• Perform groundskeeping duties, including using landscaping equipment like mowers and trimmers.
• Use and maintain air driver equipment, like blow guns, for cleaning activities.
• Use high-pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas of the feed mill.
• Use PIT to move pallets of ingredients.
• Maintain good housekeeping, including service areas.
• Communicate to all levels of Operations, including Customers and Vendors, both orally and in writing where required.
• Follow and operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
