About The Position

This position is responsible for entry-level, non-skilled general labor within the Neshoba Feed Mill. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining operational areas of the mill, upkeep of the grounds and landscaping around the mill, and assisting with ingredient receiving when needed. The role requires adherence to a safe work environment and Tyson policies and procedures. The position is full-time, second shift (2 pm to 10 pm), Monday through Friday, with required holiday and weekend work. Starting pay is $17.25/hour with a $1.00 shift premium and an attendance incentive offered. A valid MS driver's license with no more than two moving violations (including no DUI and no DWI convictions) is required.

Requirements

Must have six (6) months of operator experience with one employer within the last 12 (twelve) months.
Basic computer skills of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Teams.

Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification Where applicable
LOTO Training
Valid MS driver's license with no more than two moving violations to include no DUI and no DWI convictions.

Selected candidate must live in a 30-mile radius from facility.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of feed mill experience preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed.
Help and assist with ingredient unloading activities like unloading of rail car/trucks.
Clean up feed spills.
Perform grounds keeping duties including using landscaping equipment such as mowers and trimmers.
Use and maintain air driver equipment like blow guns to assist in cleaning activities.
Use high-pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas of the feed mill.
Use PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) to move pallets of ingredients.
Wear required PPE ear protection.
Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas.
Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required.
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
