About The Position

Operate the milling process at a feed mill to combine feed ingredients per a formula to provide a finish product for deliver to farms. This role follows all Tyson policies and procedures, including Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines. The work schedule is the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, from 11 pm to 7 am, with weekend and holiday work required. The pay is $18.55 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium. Candidates must reside within a 30-mile radius.

Requirements

6 months Operator experience with 1 employer in the previous 12 months.
Basic Math Skills
Communication Skills
Critical Thinking
Basic computer skill
Ability to certify and maintain PIT Certification
Ability to achieve and maintain respirator certification where applicable (ability to be clean shaven)
Ability to certify and maintain a Boiler Certification
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Accurately record data.
Operate computerized pelleting and batching systems to batch, pellet, and route finished feed based on run schedules.
Perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools.
Maintain operational levels of micro ingredients requiring manual filling of bagged ingredients.
Measure silos to take physical inventory.
Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling.
Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
Sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines, including an agreement to avoid any avian species.
Maintain good housekeeping, including service areas.
Communicate to all levels of Operations, including Customers and Vendors, both orally and in writing where required.
Follow and operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Stand, sit, walk, climb ladders/stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
