About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving orders, recording material, scheduling feed delivery, and dispatching trucks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Feed Mill Dispatcher is responsible for inventory on all feed and ingredient bins in the mill, as well as running the computer to make the feed. Other duties are scheduling and planning projected feed needs, utilizing the automated batching system to make feed according to formula, operating pelleting equipment, and monitoring all systems. The Dispatcher will also be responsible for quality checks and sampling along with other tasks as supervisor specifies. Applicants will be considered for the feed mill panel operator position only. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Must possess some basic computer skills and understanding of window-based applications.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and climb ladders.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. daily.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate changing feed needs.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift and handle 50lb bags of ingredients repeatedly.
  • Must be able to bend stop and climb ladders.
  • Must be able to work at high elevations.
  • Environmental training required.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
