About The Position

This position is responsible for multiple tasks including receiving orders, loading trucks, and dispatching trucks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The work environment can be hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The role requires the ability to work in elevated areas, follow all safety procedures, and adhere to Biosecurity Guidelines, including an agreement to avoid any avian species. Maintaining good housekeeping and communicating effectively with all levels of operations, customers, and vendors are also key aspects of the role. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
  • Must be able to complete paperwork, basic math, communicate effectively.
  • All applicants must complete the final task that is separate from the application.
  • Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
  • If you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
  • Applicants that complete an application and do not meet the criteria described in this statement will be removed from the application process.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
  • Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and write in order to receive and document orders
  • Ability to schedule loads of feed by creating and organizing feed tickets and maintaining them for record keeping.
  • Ability to dispatch loads of feed and distribute them evenly among driver/team members within DOT rules and regulations.
  • Ability to answer calls from Service Techs and Growers while maintaining a good working relationship with them.
  • Ability to organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day
  • Ability to take Feed bin inventory
  • Ability to operate loading equipment to correctly load trucks based on load schedules and prioritize daily feed orders as regards OUTS, SERVICE ORDERS, FOD, and PLACEMENT ORDERS.
  • Ability to answer phone from Growers and promote a good working relationship with them.
  • Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
  • Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
  • Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
  • Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
  • Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
