About The Position

The Feed Loading Operator is responsible for accurately inputting driver and farm information into the feed tracking system, ensuring the correct feed type is loaded and sent to the correct farm. This role involves directing drivers to the correct loading area based on the loading schedule, organizing and flexing tasks, and changing priorities throughout the day. The operator will also take feed bin inventory and operate loading equipment to correctly load trucks according to load schedules. The position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions including hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments, with heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather. The role also necessitates working holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required by demand scheduling, and working in elevated areas while following all safety procedures. Additionally, the operator must sign and abide by Company Biosecurity Guidelines, maintain good housekeeping, and communicate effectively with operations, customers, and vendors. Adherence to all Tyson Health and Safety protocols is mandatory. The job involves significant physical activity, including lifting up to 60 lbs (or up to 100 lbs with assistance), and the ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders/stairs throughout the day. Other tasks assigned by management must also be completed.

Requirements

Minimum of six (6) months of machine operator experience (combined experience from one or more employers)
Minimum of six (6) months of continuous work experience with a single employer within the past twenty-four (24) months
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Complete the final task separate from the application

Responsibilities

Accurately input driver and farm information into feed tracking system
Ensure correct feed type is loaded and sent to the correct farm
Direct drivers to correct loading area based on loading schedule
Organize/flex task and change priorities throughout the day
Take Feed bin inventory
Operate loading equipment to correctly load trucks based on load schedules
Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments
Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
Sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day
Complete all other tasks assigned by management
