About The Position

Mozaic (a chapter of NYSARC) is hiring for a Part-Time Custodial Cleaner. This role involves performing outdoor grounds maintenance and custodial duties for various locations. A documented disability is a requirement for this position due to Federal contract compliance. The job is part-time and requires in-person work at 100 South Clinton St Syracuse 13261.

Requirements

Documented disability as a requirement to meet compliance of our Federal contracts.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience in grounds maintenance.
Successfully complete multiple background checks.
Ability to read and follow safety guidelines, instructions, and material safety data sheets.
Ability to write simple reports and communicate clearly with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.
Regular standing and walking.
Frequent use of hands and arms.
Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform outdoor tasks such as spring cleanup, leaf blowing, hedge trimming, raking, and pruning.
Handle snow removal during winter months through shoveling and salting.
Properly maintain and clean equipment.
Report any damage promptly to your supervisor or crew leader.
Communicate any problems, complaints, or incidents as they arise.
Thoroughly clean and restock restrooms.
Sweep and mop floors.
Clean windows.
Dust surfaces.
Ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
Manage waste removal and recycling.
Follow all safety procedures when using machinery and chemicals.
Ensure no materials or equipment are left behind in work areas.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-quality team environment.
Work independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
Support the overall success of the team with additional assigned responsibilities.
