About The Position

18 Degrees is hiring a full-time Family Support Worker based at its West Springfield, Massachusetts location. The position provides home visits to families in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties who are referred by the Department of Children and Families. It also facilitates Family Time Supervised Visitation for referrals from the Department of Children and Families, Family and Probate Court, and Post Adoption. The pay rate is $22.02.

Requirements

• Knowledge of strength-based engagement with at-risk children and families.
• Collaboration and communication skills.
• Understanding of community-based resources.
• Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Dependable transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills and good writing and computer skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or five years of relevant experience.
• Availability to work an occasional evening or Saturday.
• Successful completion of EOHHS CORI, National SORI, Driving Record Authorization, and DCF Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide home visits for families referred by the Department of Children and Families in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties.
• Facilitate Family Time Supervised Visitation for referrals from the Department of Children and Families, Family and Probate Court, and Post Adoption.
• Support families in identifying their goals and strengths.
• Track and document family progress.
• Coordinate needed services and provide warm referrals, individualized support, and advocacy.
