Youth Villages is hiring a Family Service Worker for its program delivered in partnership with Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services. The program provides family-centered, strength-based case management services to youth from birth to age 18 and their families. Families are referred by DCS program areas, juvenile courts, or through self-referral. The role supports stability, stronger relationships, self-sufficiency, well-being, and permanency by assessing family needs and connecting families with tailored services and resources. The Family Service Worker serves as a youth’s guardian, manages a caseload of 15 to 20 cases, and creates and monitors permanency plans. Services are provided in families’ homes or other locations they need, such as schools or courts. The worker also provides on-call crisis support, ensures youth’s medical, dental, and educational needs are met and documented, and completes timely records in an electronic medical record system. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional to accommodate the availability of youth and families, and on-call schedules vary by location. The position includes three weekly meetings—individual, team, and clinical consultation—to support professional development and clinical skills. Applicants must have a current, valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. Community-based staff are reimbursed for applicable mileage. The stated salary range is $52,000–$60,000 per year, based on education and clinical license.
