Youth Villages is hiring a Family Service Worker for its Family Service Worker program, a partnership with Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services. The program provides family-centered, strength-based case management to youth from birth through age 18 and their families. Families may be referred by other DCS programs, juvenile courts, or through self-referral. Services aim to increase stability, strengthen relationships, build self-sufficiency, and enhance well-being and permanency. The Family Service Worker carries a caseload of 15 to 20 cases and serves as a youth’s guardian, following applicable DCS policies. The worker creates and monitors permanency plans, helps ensure youth and families receive appropriate services and assistance, and provides services in homes or other needed settings such as schools and courts. The position provides on-call crisis support, ensures medical, dental, and educational needs are met and documented, participates in weekly professional development meetings, and completes timely and accurate records in an electronic medical record system. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. Applicants must have a current, valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. Community-based staff are reimbursed for applicable mileage. The stated salary range is $52,000–$60,000 per year, based on education and clinical license.
