About The Position
An established urgent care facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide walk-in, non-emergency urgent care for patients of all ages. The clinic sees approximately 40–50 patients during a full shift and has multiple providers and full support staff. The facility uses Experity EMR and has an onsite CLIA- and COLA-approved laboratory and full-body digital X-ray capabilities. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The posting describes alternating schedules: Monday and Tuesday on, Wednesday and Thursday off, Friday through Sunday on; then Monday and Tuesday off, Wednesday and Thursday on, and Friday through Sunday off. There is no on-call status.
Requirements
- For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- For Physician Assistants: Current and unrestricted state PA license.
- For Physician Assistants: Current DEA registration, if required for prescribing duties.
- For Physician Assistants: Current BLS certification.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Current and unrestricted APRN/NP license in the applicable state.
- For Nurse Practitioners: National board certification in the applicable specialty area.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Current DEA registration, if required for prescribing duties.
- For Nurse Practitioners: Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants, preferred or required as applicable by state law.
- ACLS certification preferred for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
- Ability to obtain DOT certification if required by the clinic.
