We are seeking compassionate, patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioners to join our team in the Midwest, serving patients across Illinois and Indiana. The Family Nurse Practitioner is a key clinical leader responsible for providing evidence-based care, fostering an exceptional patient experience, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to ensure efficient, high-quality care aligned with MEC's standards.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana
- Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
- Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience
- Experience performing common urgent care procedures
- DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine.
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results.
- Perform procedures including: Laceration repair, Incision and drainage, Foreign body removal, Splinting, Nail procedures, Injections.
- Perform DOT physicals and occupational medicine services.
- Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Deliver compassionate, efficient care while creating a welcoming and reassuring environment.
- Communicate clearly regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-up care, and patient education.
- Support MEC's commitment to service excellence by maintaining professionalism and empathy during every patient interaction.
- Address patient concerns proactively and contribute to positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Serve as a clinical resource for Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, and clinic team members.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support onboarding and development of new clinical staff.
- Collaborate effectively with collaborating physicians and operational leaders.
- Support clinic goals related to patient flow, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and clinical quality programs.
- Assist with maintaining regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Adapt to varying patient volumes, staffing needs, and clinic locations as business needs require.
