About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner for clinics in Brooklyn, Queens, and New York City, including W. 57th, Park Ave., Times Sq., and W. Mulberry. This clinic-based role focuses on delivering high-quality in-person care. Virtual visits may be conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and doing so does not delay or interfere with in-person care. MinuteClinic providers practice holistically with clinical support, collaborative resources, and a unified team approach. The position is listed as full-time, 30–35 hours per week, and charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
Obtain and maintain multistate licensure based on business needs.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

One year of NP experience is preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, particularly for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
Perform diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treat injuries and illnesses; and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
