About The Position

North Star Behavioral Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient behavioral health team. This position offers a 4-day work week with (4) 10-hour shifts each week, a Monday-Thursday, Days Only schedule, and no weekends. The role involves conducting admission H&Ps, follow-up assessments, and medical consults, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff, managing the medical needs of inpatient behavioral health patients, providing patient and family education, and participating in discharge planning and continuity of care. Full-time and part-time options are available.

Requirements

• FNP or PA-C.
• Alaska APRN license (or ability to obtain).
• Board certified (ANCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA)

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient, acute care, or behavioral/mental health experience preferred.
