About The Position
This is an employed, PRN outpatient position at Ascension Seton Smithville in Smithville, Texas, working days. The provider joins an established team of physicians and advanced practice providers, cares for a shared patient panel ranging from newborns to seniors, and works within an integrated referral network at a nonprofit health system. The role includes directing treatment and long-term management of diverse health conditions and developing personalized care plans. It also involves educating patients and families about treatment options and community resources in clear, actionable terms.
Requirements
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed by the Texas Medical Board before the hire date or job transfer date.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) before the hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Master's degree.
- One year of experience.
- Orthopedic experience.
