About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Family Medicine physician (MD/NP/PA) in an outpatient setting in Fortuna, CA. The role involves providing clinical-only coverage for a mix of pediatric and adult patients, managing chronic pain conditions, and ensuring efficient patient care. The provider will work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and is expected to see an average of 16 patients per day. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has a support staff of RNs and MAs. This is a vacancy coverage role, with the need for coverage starting ASAP and ongoing.

Requirements

• Board Certified required
• Licensed in CA
• DEA required
• BLS certification
• EMR proficiency in Epic
• Chart closure within 72 hours

• Board Eligible considered (5 years or less since residency)

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care to a mix of pediatric and adult patients.
• Manage chronic pain conditions.
• Ensure chart closure within 72 hours.
• See a minimum of 18 patients per day.
• Collaborate with support staff including RNs and MAs.
