NP or PA for Inpatient Cardiology - Weekends Only
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician for assistance in clinical decision-making, case management, and evaluation of performance. The role provides advanced nursing care and treatment to patients, performs physical examinations, orders diagnostic tests, develops treatment plans, and prescribes drugs or other therapies. The Nurse Practitioner may also plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies, or similar organizations. This position is for inpatient cardiology and is scheduled for weekends only at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. The schedule is 36 hours per week, 6 AM–6 PM, on the day shift.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- Missouri Nurse Practitioner license.
- Complete all department-specific credentialing within the first 90 days of employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Proficient computer skills.
