About The Position
North Star Behavioral Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient behavioral health team. This position offers a 4-day work week with (4) 10-hour shifts each week, Monday-Thursday, Days Only schedule, with no weekends. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in behavioral health. Full-time and part-time options are available.
Requirements
- FNP or PA-C.
- Alaska APRN license (or ability to obtain).
- Board certified (ANCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA)
Nice To Haves
- Inpatient, acute care, or behavioral/mental health experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct admission H&Ps, follow-up assessments, and medical consults.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff.
- Manage medical needs of inpatient behavioral health patients.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care.
