About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Family Medicine Physicians to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across Beaumont, Texas. Physicians evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds; perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures; and use advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols. The role includes collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing. Comprehensive wound care training is provided, and previous wound care or procedural experience is not required.

The position offers clinical autonomy, continuity of care, and custom software intended to reduce documentation time. Schedules are Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, call, pagers, or after-hours patient portal messages. Part-time schedules are 2–3 days per week; full-time schedules are 4–5 days per week. Compensation is described as per-patient and per-procedure pay, with quarterly bonus programs and no earning cap for independent contractors.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
