About The Position
WellMed, a partner of the Optum Care network, is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join its Flower Mound, Texas team. As part of Optum Care Delivery, the physician will contribute to the organization's goal of improving health care and helping patients live healthier lives. The role offers clinical resources, data, and organizational support, as well as a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive environment. The physician will lead a multidisciplinary team of health care providers and use a care model designed to deliver efficient, comprehensive care that addresses patients’ physical, mental, and social health. The position offers autonomy with support from a national health care organization. Bonus incentives are based on production and quality metrics. WellMed focuses on preventive health care, particularly for seniors. Its services reach more than 240,000 people, primarily Medicare-eligible seniors in Texas and Florida, through primary and multispecialty clinics and contracted medical management services. WellMed providers and staff are focused on preventive, proactive care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas.
- Valid DEA license.
