About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This role involves performing comprehensive patient care, including history and physical exams, follow-up care, and health maintenance. The Nurse Practitioner will initiate appropriate treatments and testing, provide patient counseling, and document clinical care according to established guidelines. The position also requires performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, communicating with patients and families within legal and ethical boundaries, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients and those being seen for follow up appointments.
• Consult with the supervising physician as needed.
• Provide follow up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols or specific instructions from the supervising physician.
• Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.
• Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health related issues.
• Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience and as directed by the supervising physician.
• Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health related questions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employee’s practice.
