Family Medicine Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Family Medicine Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join its growing primary care division at a practice in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. The practice has three physicians and one advanced practice clinician and is open Monday through Friday. Full-time work is defined as 36 patient-facing hours; part-time is also considered. The clinician will care for their own patient panel and see additional acute and follow-up patients from the practice as needed. Patient appointments are 40 minutes for new patients, child wellness/preventive visits, wellness/preventive visits for patients age 46 and older, transitions of care, and medical clearances. Appointments are 20 minutes for wellness/preventive visits for patients age 45 and under, return visits, and acute visits. Call is shared with other practices in the region, rotated among clinicians, and routed to nurse triage first. LVHN offers a large, integrated network and support from onsite and remote care teams, free scribe services, and opportunities to teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students if interested. The network supports clinicians in developing their clinical, research, academic, and educational careers in a patient-centered primary care department.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners.
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania medical license or be able to obtain one.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of experience as a clinician in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine is preferred.
- Interest in teaching nurse practitioner and physician assistant students.
Responsibilities
- Provide family medicine care for an individual patient panel.
- See additional acute and follow-up patients from the practice as needed.
- Participate in call coverage rotated with clinicians and other practices in the region; calls go to nurse triage first.
- Teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, if interested.
