About The Position

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth has an advanced practice nurse opportunity in its Family Medicine clinic on Archer Avenue in Chicago. The role combines clinical and administrative work. The nurse practitioner will see acute patients only, approximately eight patients per day, and will provide coverage for physicians during paid time off, medical leave, and other absences. Administrative responsibilities include managing assigned physicians’ EPIC inboxes and handling triage, medication refills, lab reviews, and controlled-substance matters. The schedule is five days per week with rotating Saturdays. Spanish-language skills are preferred to support patient access and the patient experience. Annual salary is $115,000–$125,000.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• One to three years of advanced practice provider experience.
• Experience in the full spectrum of Family Medicine.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with an attending physician.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association, obtained before the hire or job transfer date.
• ACLS certification.
• Nurse Practitioner credential from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, obtained before the hire or job transfer date.
• Drug Enforcement Administration credential.
