About The Position

Steel City South Pediatrics is a walk-in pediatric primary care clinic serving families across the greater Pittsburgh area. The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner provides patient-centered care for children from birth through adolescence, including general pediatric care, growth and development monitoring, immunizations, chronic condition support, and guidance for parents on health, safety, nutrition, and fitness. The role is part of a collaborative team of experienced providers and is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Applicants must be able to commute reliably or plan to relocate before starting.

Requirements

Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Valid license to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center or proof of board certification.
Passion for pediatric care and healthcare excellence.
Ability to reliably commute to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or plan to relocate before starting.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD and CPT coding, clinical pharmacology, and HIPAA compliance.
Familiarity with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Develop and execute effective treatment plans.
Conduct thorough medical examinations and diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.
Communicate compassionately with patients, parents, and caregivers.
Guide patients and families on illness prevention and promote lifelong healthy habits.
Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and respond to patient emergencies efficiently and carefully.
Provide general pediatric care, monitor growth and development, administer immunizations, and support chronic conditions.
Offer parents guidance on children's health, safety, nutrition, and fitness needs.
