About The Position

A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a full-time, exempt Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner on its Kirksville, Missouri campus. The position provides comprehensive family medicine services to community members and clinical partners. The Nurse Practitioner reports to the Executive Director of Practice Management. The role provides acute clinical care within the Family Medicine program, manages direct patient care, and supports medical education and clinic operations. It also includes training and supervising medical students, supporting residents’ educational and scholarly activities, collaborating with clinic physicians and staff, participating in candidate recruitment, and contributing to quality improvement and committee work.

Requirements

NP or PA degree required.
Missouri license required.
One to three years of work experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge in the departmental area, higher education leadership, pedagogy, and scholarly research.
Evidence of successful collaboration, mentorship, and administrative excellence.
Excellent patient care.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent terminal degree in a closely related field preferred.
Strong understanding of osteopathic principles and medical education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate residents’ involvement in educational and scholarly activities.
Provide acute clinical care services within the Family Medicine program.
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical exams, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
Participate in recruitment and selection of clinical candidates.
Train and supervise medical students in the clinic.
Work with clinic physicians to support a positive clinic climate.
Direct and coordinate patient care activities with nursing and other support staff.
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and quality improvement work.
Participate in committees, task forces, and internal review committees as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
