About The Position

Coker, Robb & Cannon, Family Lawyers, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join their dynamic and supportive team in Tarrant County. This role involves managing case files, preparing for legal proceedings, coordinating with various parties, and assisting attorneys with case management and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping families navigate difficult transitions and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of family law paralegal experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedures and legal documentation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
  • Empathy and professionalism when working with clients during emotionally difficult situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Tarrant and Denton County courts is preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate, associate degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of family law paralegal experience strongly preferred.
  • Notary Public commission is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Texas e-filing systems and legal practice management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case files from intake through final disposition, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare attorneys and clients for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
  • Coordinate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding scheduling and case matters.
  • Maintain case calendars, organize exhibits, and assist with trial preparation.
  • Review, organize, and summarize financial records and other case-related documents.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients throughout the legal process.
  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day case management and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and proposed orders.
