About The Position

Cordell & Cordell is hiring a Family Law Paralegal in Orlando, Florida. The role supports family law attorneys and clients through case management, legal document preparation, deadline tracking, and professional communication. The paralegal handles sensitive client information with discretion and accuracy and helps clients navigate emotionally sensitive matters such as divorce, custody disputes, and child support. The position is onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 3 years of family law paralegal or legal assistant experience.
Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent.
Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Proficiency with legal software and case management systems such as Smart Advocate, Clio, MyCase, or similar.
Ability to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative, approachable demeanor.
Professional presence and ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Proactive mindset and willingness to go above and beyond on simple requests to make things easier for others.

Responsibilities

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
Prepare financial disclosures, child support worksheets, parenting plans, and related documentation.
Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Edit draft documents to reflect client changes and prepare documents for signing.
Handle sensitive client data with discretion, care, and accuracy.
Complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly while meeting agreed-upon deadlines.
