About The Position

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a highly skilled Family Law Attorney to lead complex, high-value family law matters. This role is designed for an experienced litigator who is strategic, organized, and confident in the courtroom, with the ability to manage cases independently and deliver strong results for clients. In this position, you will handle sophisticated family law disputes, work closely with experts and support staff, and contribute to a team that values professionalism, clear communication, and sound judgment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who follows through without constant supervision, communicates clearly and professionally, and is diplomatic and empathetic when handling emotionally sensitive matters with clients. Requirements

  • Extensive Florida family law experience with a strong litigation background.
  • Significant courtroom presence and trial experience.
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to manage cases from start to finish.
  • Ability to meet or exceed monthly billable hour expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with complex financial matters, business valuations, or high-asset divorces.
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys or support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead counsel on divorce, custody, support, post-judgment, dependency, domestic violence, and complex asset matters.
  • Conduct hearings, mediations, negotiations, evidentiary proceedings, and trials.
  • Communicate with clients regarding strategy, options, and case status.
  • Maintain a professional, confident presence in and out of court.
  • Maintain empathetic and diplomatic client communications.
  • Develop and execute customized litigation strategies.
  • Identify risks, evidentiary issues, leverage points, and settlement opportunities early.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement documents.
  • Proactively obtain case evidence and handle cases.
  • Apply strong legal analysis, sound judgment, and thoughtful case evaluation.
  • Work closely with paralegals, administrative staff, and experts as needed.
  • Provide direction and oversight while maintaining a respectful and collaborative team environment.
  • Stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong follow-through.
