The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association (CMFCAA) is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to educating, supporting, and advocating for foster, adoptive, and kinship children, youth, and families in central Missouri. We offer services and partner with community and governmental agencies to develop healthy and self-sufficient individuals and families. Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, and over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children, and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much-needed services to them. The Family Development Program has three major components: intake, assessing, and training. We offer support and services to families interested in fostering/adopting, and to foster, adoptive, and kinship families. All team members will be trained in each category, however hired with a specific focus in training or assessing. The purpose of this role is to support, guide, educate, and prepare individuals that are interested in becoming foster, adoptive, kinship, and/or respite caregivers. As a trainer, the employee will be competent in teaching a variety of curriculums that are required and/or recommended by the Children’s Division and partnering agencies. The training is provided, but further the comprehension and application of the material is thoroughly discussed and evaluated.
