About The Position

The department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) seeks to fill a full time tenure track faculty position. This role involves teaching students across various academic programs (Ph.D., M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, and B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology), mentoring student research, and engaging in experiential and service-learning activities. Involvement in clinical work at the Molloy University Speech, Language and Hearing Center is preferred. A commitment to scholarship through research, publications, and presentations is required, along with an earned Ph.D or Ed.D and an active research program. Faculty are also expected to participate in service-learning, academic advisement, collaboration, departmental activities, and serve on university-wide committees. The department values a holistic approach to educating future clinicians and maintaining relationships with students and alumni, requiring collaborative engagement in service and inter-professional learning activities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining academic integrity and holding regular weekly office hours.

Requirements

  • Earned Ph.D. or Ed.D in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
  • Established research agenda, preferably in the area(s) of voice and/or fluency.
  • Ability to teach master’s level coursework in voice and/or fluency.
  • Commitment to educating students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Commitment to scholarship through research, publications, and presentations at professional conferences.
  • Must be engaged in ongoing research and development of an active research program.
  • Academic advisement, collaboration and attendance at departmental activities and willingness to serve on university-wide committees is required.
  • Engage collaboratively in the department's service and inter-professional learning activities.
  • Maintaining academic integrity.
  • Engaging in regular weekly office hours as outlined in the most recent Molloy University Faculty Handbook.

Nice To Haves

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
