About The Position

The Factory Controller is responsible for financial reporting, costing, inventory management, internal control, and performance reporting at the Saint Joseph, Missouri facility. The role works closely with departments throughout the factory and business to support accurate reporting through strong accounting processes and to drive factory continuous improvement and cost-saving efforts. The factory is located in St. Joseph, Missouri, about one hour from Kansas City, and produces pet food brands including Fancy Feast and Beneful Prepared Meals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience with general accounting, cost accounting, internal controls, compliance management, budgeting, and variance analysis in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military, or related environment.
At least 2 years of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee factory financial control measures, including compliant controls programs, reporting, and safeguarding assets according to Nestlé Accounting Standards.
Monitor and analyze performance, submit month-end reporting results to appropriate parties, and suggest improvements.
Maintain, coordinate, and report budgets for the factory and warehouse.
Guide the Factory Management Team by conducting special financial studies, evaluating performance measures, and providing training on financial procedures and policies.
Manage and direct the Factory Accounting Team, providing feedback and evaluating progress against development and growth plans.
Train Accounting Personnel on systems and procedures as needed to comply with Nestlé Accounting Standards and applicable legal requirements.
Directly support Accounting Personnel in fulfilling required team tasks and functions for the factory and business.
Perform other duties as assigned.
