About The Position

The Facility Supervisor oversees staff and facilities on site to help ensure that clean, safe, and healthy facilities are available to the public. The role includes routine maintenance and janitorial work while the facility is open, maintaining the ice surface and arena facilities, and operating an ice resurfacer. The Facility Supervisor may work independently or with other roles depending on the facility activity schedule and reports to the General Manager or Arena Manager. The schedule includes nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
Must be a self-starter, able to analyze situations and develop solutions with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of individuals and groups.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

One year of work experience in an ice arena or similar organization, with some exposure to operations and maintenance functions.
Knowledge of equipment.
Experience operating an ice resurfacer; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

Maintain and secure the facility.
Make and maintain the ice surface and maintain arena facilities.
Complete and maintain required logs.
Ensure facilities are cleaned regularly.
Handle scheduling and payroll as determined by the General Manager or Arena Manager.
Train new hires in coordination with the General Manager or Arena Manager and Operations Personnel.
Oversee on-site staff, including Facility Operators and Facility Support Staff.
Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service for internal and external customers.
Perform routine maintenance and janitorial functions while the facility is open to the public.
Drive and operate the ice resurfacer.
