Facility Services Utility Support
About The Position
The Facility Services Utility Support position supports the facility’s daily cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency through janitorial services, recycling and waste management, material handling, and general facility support. The role maintains clean and organized workspaces, operates equipment such as balers, forklifts, and pallet jacks, supports grounds maintenance, and assists with special projects while following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include cleaning production, office, restroom, breakroom, and common areas; collecting and sorting waste and recycling; replenishing supplies; moving and staging materials; and supporting outdoor grounds and facility improvement activities. The employee must follow company safety policies, use chemicals according to manufacturer specifications, complete required training, and comply with site-specific procedures.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain production, office, restroom, breakroom, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
- Collect and remove trash and recycling materials.
- Replenish restroom and janitorial supplies.
- Operate floor care equipment, including scrubbers, buffers, and carpet-cleaning equipment.
- Operate balers and waste management equipment.
- Sort, bale, and dispose of cardboard and recyclable materials.
- Remove and stage wood pallets.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely throughout the facility.
- Support outdoor grounds maintenance and perform snow removal and weather-related site support activities.
- Assist with painting, power washing, and facility improvement projects.
- Perform high dusting and production-area cleaning activities.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer specifications.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Complete required training and comply with site-specific procedures.
