Requirements

• One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct safety programs for residents, employees, and visitors
• Inspect facility buildings and grounds to identify safety risks and take corrective action
• Review reports of accidents and unusual incidents to identify causes and maintain records
• Develop and conduct safety training programs for staff and management
• Administer safety and environmental programs to meet legal and licensure standards
• Serve as liaison with emergency responders and support preparedness activities
