That’s why our team is looking to add a Senior Manager in Facility Operations. As a Sr. Facility Operations manager, you will be accountable for the oversight of facility management and infrastructure operations at our Capital One Headquarters in Tysons, VA and the “North Region” (primarily NY, but also includes DE, MD, PA, CT, MA, and ME).

  • Read and understands construction drawings and MEP submittments
  • Be knowledgeable on UPS, Generator, CRAC, Chiller, RTU HVAC operations function and best practice maintenance programs
  • Be knowledgeable in sustainability programs that support emission reduction targets and stays ahead of industry trends/best practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a critical systems environment
  • 5+ years of experience commissioning critical systems

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience in building engineering maintenance
  • 7+ years of experience in compliance for OSHA, EPA
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities management
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate real estate
  • 5+ years of experience in optimizing sustainability programs

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of a third party facilities management and engineering team to execute on key responsibilities and monitor Key Performance Indicator metrics
  • Partner with project managers and engineering to comply with corporate change control processes for maintenance and construction efforts for critical system areas in your assigned area(s)
  • Support critical response teams during a crisis / emergency
  • Oversight of BAS, HVAC, and MEP systems infrastructure operations for existing operations maintenance
  • Monitors critical systems uptime for Capital One facility infrastructure
  • Conduct and maintain site inspection documents for properties within your assigned area
  • Audit site records for compliance with OSHA and EPA required reporting
  • Maintain operations in accordance with Local, State and Federal Laws
  • Review and provide input for operational and capital expense budgets
  • Support infrastructure / MEP capital projects and building systems commissioning
  • Develop and design sustainability programming for facilities operations through optimization efforts, industry best practices and operational logic
