About The Position

At Capital One, the Global Workplace Services (GWS) team focuses on providing collaborative and secure environments that drive connection, innovation, and business success, while fostering a culture of care. The team manages a diverse portfolio of mixed-use owned and leased properties, constantly transforming the workplace to enable employees to work effectively. Beyond creating spaces and amenities, GWS also manages and operates them, ensuring the safety and security of employees and the community. The Manager of Workplace Security will manage the day-to-day operations of physical security for Capital One’s Plano campus and other satellite corporate offices, serving as the primary safety and security point of contact and providing advice and solutions to mitigate physical and safety risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of corporate security, safety and security operations, law enforcement or combination of equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of program or project management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certifications
  • 10+ years of safety and security operations, security consulting, law enforcement leadership experience
  • 10+ years managing safety and security operations across multiple locations

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day physical security operations for Capital One’s Plano campus and satellite corporate offices.
  • Serve as the primary safety and security point of contact, providing advice and solutions to mitigate physical and safety risks.
  • Build customer solutions, challenge business decisions, and consider multiple options/perspectives to mitigate issues.
  • Navigate the organization, anticipate and address concerns with fact-based options.
  • Create team lift by applying and sharing expertise.

  • Utilize security technologies, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Lead and implement incident management programs and support business continuity during emergencies.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement during incident or crisis management.
  • Plan and organize security programs to enhance workplace safety.
  • Respond to and handle security incidents across the area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Workplace Security to set objectives and lead security operations at regional sites.
  • Build relationships with executives, site leaders, and cross-functional teams to influence compliance and improve security programs.
  • Act as liaison between security and local teams to align on site and security objectives.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and audits at regional locations and address vulnerabilities.
  • Manage the budget, security vendors, and approve invoices and expenses.
  • Investigate policy violations, misconduct, and criminal activity.
  • Partner with facilities and workplace services teams to support employee programs and services.
  • Coordinate safety committees, prepare reports, and supervise mitigation activities.
  • Lead emergency response and safety training programs.
  • Provide security support for office projects and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate policies and department guidelines.
  • Build relationships with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency teams.
  • Develop and conduct employee safety and security training programs.
  • Oversee a safe and secure environment at corporate events.
