About The Position

The Facility Operations Assistant Manager is a full-time position that assists the Facility Operations Manager in delivering clean and functioning facilities while providing excellent customer service. The role may include maintaining club space, training fellow team members, and providing managerial support when the Manager is not present. The Assistant Manager works the opposite schedule of the Facility Operations Manager and must be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO).
• Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) required within three months of hire.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.

Nice To Haves

• Health and fitness operations experience.
• College degree in business, hospitality, or a related field.
• Experience with building operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities.
• Respond to member feedback with urgency and provide follow-up communication with solutions.
• Assist the manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations.
• Train team members through ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and continuous feedback.
• Serve on the club Safety Committee and ensure policies and regulations comply with OSHA regulations.
• Assist with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department.
• Attend weekly department head, Operations department, and all-club meetings.
• Build positive relationships with members while gathering feedback.
• Coordinate and create Operations staff schedules.
